Certain versions of the Spy Pen Camera can shoot video. By default, each video contains a time stamp which displays the date and time of the recording. You can't change the time from the Spy Pen, but you can do so from any computer.

- 1 Connect the Spy Pen to a computer with a USB cord. The device should automatically open on the desktop and appear as a removable disk.
- 2 Open a new text document. You can use Notepad on Windows or TextEdit on a Mac.
- 3 Type in the a year followed by a month and day of the month in numeric form. For example, type "20101115" to represent November 15, 2010. Do not put spaces between the numbers.
- 4 Type in the time, including seconds, immediately after the date, using the 24-hour time system. For example, type "173000" to represent 5:30:00 PM. For this example, the entire entry should read "20101115173000."
- 5 Save the text document as "time.txt" to your desktop.
- 6 Drag the text document to the Spy Pen folder. The time stamp on the pen will automatically change.
- 7 Eject the Spy Pen and unplug it from the computer.
