FAQ:

Q:  Can I use the iRig as an input for guitar to GarageBand on my MacBook Pro?

A:  Yes, you can. I do it my self, and you can see the compatible devices at ikmultimedia site.

Q:  can I get irig to play through an amp? What cords do I need to buy?

A:  Its easy to play it through an amp. all you need is an 1/8 inch aux cable and an 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch adapter. One end plugs into the headphone jack on the iRig and the other end into the adapter which plugs into the amp input. Note that you will only get mono sound.

Q:  Does the AmpliTube iRig work with the new iPad 2 ?

A:  I have the GarageBand app on my iPad2 and the iRig works with this app as well as it does with the AmpliTube app for iPad.

Can you plug the iRig Mic into this and record at the same time using GarageBand?

Yes you can use this to record into GarageBand, though you can only record 1 thing at once. Example: you can use iRig to record a guitar or a bass. Then you can use iRig Mic to record your vocals. You can't use both iRig and iRig Mic at that same time as there is only 1 headphone jack on iOS devices.

Q:  Does irig have a built-in guitar tuner?

Yes the guitar tuner is in the tools tab on top of the app.

Q:  does this work on the new ipad (3rd generation)?

Yes it works on the new iPad
