How to Copy Videos to PS3 Hard Drive

In addition to its gaming capabilities, the PlayStation 3 (PS3) also supports video playback. The PS3 includes a built-in hard drive to store game data and downloaded content. Videos can be played directly off of a USB flash drive or copied over from the USB flash drive to PS3's hard drive. The PS3 supports MP4, MPEG, DIVX, AVI and WMV video formats.

 Instructions

 1. Connect the USB flash drive to your computer. The autorun window will open. Click "Open folder to view files."

 2. Drag and drop the videos you want on the PS3 into the folder. Disconnect the USB flash drive from your computer.

 3. Connect the USB flash drive to a USB port on the front of the PS3. Select "Video" from the PS3 main menu. Press the "X" button to display all videos. Highlight the videos you want to copy and press the triangle button. Select "Copy." Each video will be copied to the PS3 hard drive.
