How to Set The Date on a Spy Pen camera?

Certain versions of the Spy Pen Camera can shoot video. By default, each video contains a time stamp which displays the date and time of the recording. You can't change the time from the Spy Pen, but you can do so from any computer.

     Connect the Spy Pen to a computer with a USB cord. The device should automatically open on the desktop and appear as a removable disk.

     Open a new text document. You can use Notepad on Windows or TextEdit on a Mac.

     Type in the a year followed by a month and day of the month in numeric form. For example, type "20101115" to represent November 15, 2010. Do not put spaces between the numbers.

     Type in the time, including seconds, immediately after the date, using the 24-hour time system. For example, type "173000" to represent 5:30:00 PM. For this example, the entire entry should read "20101115173000."

     Save the text document as "time.txt" to your desktop.

     Drag the text document to the Spy Pen folder. The time stamp on the pen will automatically change.

     Eject the Spy Pen and unplug it from the computer.
